Overall Ratings
Although my inclination as an interaction designer is to appreciate design over functionalities and reliability, I am making an extra effort to fairly weigh these three criteria.
Overall Rating is the average of Design, Features and Reliability, rounded by excess or defect, to reflect my overall impression of the software.
Design
Design rating represents both interaction and visual design, with a little byes for the first one.
Design criteria:
- Interaction Design
- simplicity and uncluttered design
- emphasis on most important functionalities
- efficient access for repetitive commands
- elegant solutions
- pleasant interaction
- optimal real estate to perform basic tasks
- Visual Design
- pleasant appearance
- good use of colors
- good use of white spaces

Features
This criteria measures the presence of features that are essential to perform the most important tasks.
